Musings as we leave 2025 and enter 2026…
The New Moon in Sagittarius on 20/12/2025 heralded in a new year, of sorts, for me as it was conjunct my natal Sun. The question I posed myself that day was exactly this: Do I believe enough in my vision to live it? A very appropriate question for this Sagi whose natal Sun is placed at the anaretic degree of the sign. I also feel it is the best question for us all to be asking ourselves as we see out 2025. Where Sagittarius falls in your chart will give you an indication of which area of your life the ‘vision’ needs to be directed to. I posted on socials the following about this new moon:-
New Moon in Sagittarius at 28 deg, conjunct the Galactic Centre and my natal Sun. This is a biggie for all of us! There is so much going on in this chart so let me sum up how I feel this energy could be used. While new moons are traditionally a time to set new intentions, this one is like a final chance to let go of what you do not wish to carry with you any further. The outer planets are making big shifts in early 2026 & you do not want to be carrying any baggage from 2025 when that happens! This new moon is a time to be real with yourself because Sagi only wants the truth, sacred faithfulness & C.L.A.R.I.T.Y. This is your one shot at releasing those blurred lines, fuzzy dreams and being really authentic to your Self. Make a contract with this moon. Make a vow to your new path heading into 2026. Jupiter (Sag's ruler) is retrograde in Cancer. You KNOW what you need to do, it's old knowledge to you!
Time to be brave and aim that arrow true.
Sagittarius is a fire energy – creative, focussed and unashamedly bold. The archer of the zodiac always purposely aims his arrow. Yeah, sometimes those arrows go astray and Sagi gets distracted, but he must always return to the true path. Trust me, a Sagittarius without a goal is a very unhappy one!
At the time of this new moon, we also have a few other planets making their final journey through signs. 2026 is not going to be for the faint hearted! It’s a 1 vibration year, the year of the Fire Horse and some planets are going to be making major shifts into new signs. Buckle up! It’s time to shift!
Back to my vision I wish to live. Each day it becomes clearer to me. I have set the groundwork, laid foundations and intend to build on this. The chart for the new moon (NZDT) places the emphasis on the 9th house, Sagi's home. Higher wisdom & knowledge, belief systems, faith and future goals all reside here (amongst other things!). So, YES, this faithful Sagi has returned to the fold and affirms "YES, I BELIEVE ENOUGH IN MY VISION TO LIVE IT!!!"
However, we all need to take note that things cannot carry on as before. Author, Rita Mae Brown, wrote, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Globally and personally, we need to wake up to this as we go into 2026!
For the next few weeks, I'm taking some time out to be with my family and loved ones. Some people very close to me are about to embark on their new 'vision' and I want to be there to support them through these times. While some of these goals they are pursuing are bittersweet for me, I only wish them the very best ju-ju as they are using this current energy very wisely. I give immense thanks to the Universe for that!
